Kahuna Surfhouse is a kiting destination that everyone should experience at least once. The owners of the school have created a brilliant community spirit on the beach which has all the facilities you would expect from a kite school. The vibe is always one of high stoke and when the wind comes and its time to kite, the buzz on the water is brilliant. They offer kitesurfing lessons and teach to IKO standards in a specifically designated area of the bay. Just don't go past the buoys into the swimming area and everything will be fine. The wind arrives from May and stays until October. November and December is still windy but not as reliable as the summer months and the water temperature gets cooler. In the summer, the wind starts building everyday at around 2pm and sticks around until sunset. Wind strength can vary from 15kts up to 30kts on some days must the average is around 18kts to 24kts. In July they hold an amateur competition called the King of Kite which each year is hosted by different high ranking freestyle pro's. Get yourselves to Cyprus and say hello from me.
