Completely wild
Gnarloo is a homestead at the end of a long (2.hr in on a sandy track) dusty road. The facilities are incredibly basic (
which you can only expect if you travel this far off the usual routes), but if you want a real adventure then this is it.
The kite spot is really just a single wave and only for very advanced riders. The ride out to the wave is over some really sharp reef, and you need to know which channel to take if you don't want to destroy your fins (and yourself), and the wave itself breaks onto an almost dry reef called the cheesegrater. Clue is in the name.
A truly magical place, but not a kitespot for most.
